“I love the moon in all her phases.”
This has been on my bucket list for awhile as I LOVE the moon!!!!
Shooting at night is challenging, elusive and rewarding despite the fails. Oh the epic fails....my word! These shots had a lot of trial and error. On Thursday, August 11, the full moon in Aquarius, colloquially known as the Sturgeon Supermoon appeared in the sky, making it the last so-called supermoon of 2022. I went out both Thursday and Friday night to play with my cameras.
Felt like I was moving or going camping.....here was my list I packed:
1) Best hubby of mine driving the 4 wheeler to haul me and all the equipment through the east pasture. PS: he ended up napping on night #2.
2) Puppy running amok with his humans (and trying to help stabilize tripods---NOT GOOD COMBO!) PS: It was obviously a-okay & he ended up napping both nights.
3) 2 cameras, 5 lenses, 3 tripods, 2 camera backpacks
4) Astronomy red light
5) Water bottles, blanket and snacks.
6) Thank goodness I didn't have to haul the moon. She was there and gorgeous!
