Janette Duffield is the 2018 July Artist of the Month for the Sand Painters Art Guild. Photos are on display at Viaero, Bank of the West, Security First Bank, Sandhills State Bank and Union Bank all located in beautiful Valentine, NE.
Janette Duffield, owner and photographer of Sugar Creek Photos has been taking photos most of her life. She has only begun sharing that passion with the public since 2011. She grew up in the Verdigre, NE and Creighton, NE area. She has been a member of the Sand Painters Art Guild since 2011.
She is primarily a landscape and nature photographer. She is always trying to take pictures of hidden spots of beauty in the North Central Nebraska and South Central South Dakota areas. She believes there is beauty in everyday life, you just have to choose to see it. She tries to capture that through her photography. She was the location manager for Aviation Cocktail, a full feature film that was filmed in the Valentine area in 2011. Recently she received an Honorable Mention at the ANAC 2017 Show for “Suits & Chaps”. She was also included in Fifth Annual Exposure Award. Her print “Serenity” was included in The Exposure Award Black and White Collection. A digital display was at the Louvre in Paris, France. Her print was also published in the 2015 See Me Exposure Black and White collection book. She has had work published in Rodeo News Magazine and Nebraska Life Magazine.
She and her husband, Jerry live by Norden, NE.
